About Wellaura

Hi I’m Amy — a Registered Psychiatric Nurse with over a decade of experience. Through my private counselling practice, I support individuals navigating life’s most vulnerable transitions with care, clarity, and compassion. I specialize in trauma-informed therapy with a deep focus on perinatal mental health, emotional regulation, identity shifts in parenthood, and birth and reproductive trauma, including pregnancy loss and grief. All genders are welcome in my practice. I work primarily with individuals aged 16 and older.

As someone who has personally walked through birth trauma and perinatal anxiety, I bring both clinical expertise and lived experience to the therapy room. I know how important it is to feel safe, seen, and gently guided back to your own inner knowing.

My approach integrates Internal Family Systems (IFS), somatic therapies, nervous system regulation (polyvagal theory), and mindfulness-based support. For trauma reprocessing, I also offer Flash Technique and Brainspotting, two powerful tools that support memory reconsolidation and nervous system healing. Whether you are navigating fertility challenges, anxiety, grief, or complex trauma, I’m here to walk beside you with steadiness and heart.

I'm also a mom of two, a mental health advocate, and the founder of Brandon’s Flora’s Walk, a community event dedicated to raising awareness for perinatal mental health. Through Wellaura Counselling, I continue this mission: helping clients reconnect with themselves, rewrite inner narratives, and reclaim a sense of wholeness.
